MEGALITHS
Sorogain’s archaeological heritage is outstanding: dolmens, cromlechs, burial mounds, and menhirs can be found throughout the territory.
GRAZING
The native breeds of the area are the Burguete horse, the Pyrenean cow, and the Latxa sheep. The culture and economy linked to livestock and forests have shaped a unique landscape.
FOREST USES
The forest has always represented a fundamental source of resources, both for local consumption in the villages and for supplying industry through charcoal production.
LIFE IN SOROGAIN
The last inhabitants of Sorogain were the families of Casa Pablo and Borda Belza, until just a few decades ago.
